As part of International Women’s Month, the University of Bedfordshire is delighted to welcome science leader Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE for a panel discussion on Thursday 12 March 2026.
Date: Thursday 12 March 2026
Time: Registration from 17:30
Venue Options: Attend in person at the G101 Lecture Theatre, Luton Campus, or via a live online stream
Dr Imafidon is an award-winning speaker, tech leader and social entrepreneur, widely recognised for her work supporting young people into science, technology and creative careers. Drawing on her experience across STEM/STEAM, education and social impact, she will explore how individuals can build meaningful and resilient careers in a rapidly changing world.
In conversation with a panel of students and staff, the discussion will examine leadership, career transitions and long-term professional growth, alongside our shared responsibility to create fairer and more inclusive workplaces. In line with the UN theme for International Women’s Day 2026, Balancing the Scales, the panel will reflect on what equity and equality look like in practice and how emerging technologies are reshaping the future of work.
The event is open to the public and free of charge. Early registration is advised. Further details, including joining instructions for online attendees, will be provided closer to the event.
