SUMMARY:Bussing Out
DESCRIPTION:This powerful exhibition reveals a hidden piece of British history – one that shaped the identity of many global majority children who arrived in Bradford\, and many other cities across the UK\, during the 1960s and 1970s. \nClimb aboard a 1970s school bus and hear memories of those impacted by the Bussing Out policy\, which sent Black and South Asian children from inner-city schools to mostly white areas. \nBussing Out takes place inside a reimagined school bus\, combining audio-visual storytelling with real testimonies and reconstructed memory. \nYou are invited to spend time in the space with the sequences\, create your own connections and narratives\, and to embrace the stillness. \nThe installation is open to the public from Monday 20 April – Saturday 2 May 2026 at Luton Point (Church Street Entrance/Exit). \n\nMonday 20 April – Friday 24 April: 10:00 – 16:00 daily\nSaturday 25 April: 11:00 – 16:00\nSunday 26 April – CLOSED\nMonday 27 April – Friday 1 May: 10:00 – 16:00 daily\nSaturday 2 May: 11:00 – 16:00\n\nFind out more about Bussing Out and Express Your Interest here.

SUMMARY:Ray Bradshaw: CODA
DESCRIPTION:1 in 6 adults in the UK will lose their hearing in their lifetime; two of those are Ray Bradshaw’s parents. The multi award winning comedian is back on tour with a brand-new show all about growing up as a CODA; A Child of Deaf Adults. His upbringing was nothing like the Oscar winning film and he’s here to tell you why. \nCODA is a funny\, heartwarming show all about the brilliant things that happen when you grow up in a house where sign language is the first language used; whether it’s watching his dad shut his eyes to win any argument or beating his in-laws easily when they suggested playing charades against a deaf family on Christmas Day. \nRay’s previous shows Deaf Com One and Doppelginger were huge successes and sold-out theatres across the world. As this show is all about growing up with deaf parents every show of CODA will have a BSL interpreter. Ray has previously supported John Bishop on his UK arena tour after John described him as ‘one of the best comedians in the country’.
