DESCRIPTION:Dave has found wood whittling a great way to improve well-being as well as being an enjoyable craft to learn. In these sessions\, we will teach you how to use carving knives safely and set an appropriate project each week to help you build and develop your whittling skills. The aim is to give you the confidence to continue whittling in your own time\, as well as to enjoy the company of others in the peaceful surroundings of Wardown Park’s Arboretum. \nThese on-going sessions run every Tuesday morning\, starting 14 April. \nPlease note: These sessions are for adults 18+ only. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Rangers is a monthly programme for 12-17yr olds\, which enables those taking part to explore various nature reserves\, to learn new skills and make new friends. \nFor our September meet up we will be exploring Dallow Downs for the first time. We will be helping to survey the many wildflowers living there and will also be improving access paths at the bottom of this site. \nPlease be prepared for some uphill walking and light physical work to clear paths of overgrown trees etc. As usual drinks and snacks will be provided towards the end of this session. \nIf this is your first time with Youth Rangers please contact Matt for parental consent forms before booking.

Lea & Icknield (Luton) Ramblers organise the walks in Luton and the surrounding area. \nThe walks range from short\, gentle ambles of 4 to 5 miles\, morning and afternoon walks of 6 to 8 miles to all day walks of 10 to 13 miles. There are also wellbeing walks. The aim is to have something for everyone.

DESCRIPTION:A Walk in the Park is a programme of easily accessible walks for all ages running monthly in Luton (every first Wednesday of the month). \nA Walk in the Park provides an opportunity to: \n\nBoost your health and well-being whilst taking a short walk around a natural space and practice some mindfulness in nature.\nExplore green spaces in Luton.\nMeet like-minded people and make new friends.\nLearn about the natural world and opportunity to share your own knowledge or experiences.\n\nThe aim of the programme is to encourage exploration of scenic parks and green spaces right on your doorstep\, at the heart of Luton.\nThe walks will be led by staff of Wildlife Trust Bedfordshire and volunteers. \nFor this walk we will explore the nearby People’s Park in Luton. \nAll ages welcome! \nPlease dress for the outdoors\, including suitable footwear for soft paths. \nThe accessibility at People’s Park can be limited due to uneven/ steep paths. Please get in touch if you have any mobility concerns or questions about the walk. \nPeople’s Park is a large park with several entrances. We’ll meet at the green flag near the community orchard on the Havelock Road side of the Park for 2pm start. You’ll find the flag post along the diagonal path across the park between Kingston Road and Havelock Road/corner of Clarendon Road. \nIf using What Three Words website or App then please use the following location ///brass.served.kicked for the meeting point. \nThere is a small car park off Havelock Road by the playground\, but spaces tend to fill up. DESCRIPTION:A Walk in the Park is a programme of easily accessible walks for all ages running monthly in Luton (every first Wednesday of the month).\n\nA Walk in the Park provides an opportunity to: \n\nBoost your health and well-being whilst taking a short walk around a natural space and practice some mindfulness in nature.\nExplore green spaces in Luton.\nMeet like-minded people and make new friends.\nLearn about the natural world and opportunity to share your own knowledge or experiences.\n\nThe aim of the programme is to encourage exploration of scenic parks and green spaces right on your doorstep\, at the heart of Luton.\nThe walks will be led by staff of Wildlife Trust Bedfordshire and volunteers. \nFor this walk we will meet at Galley and Warden Hills Nature Reserve and explore this Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). \nAll ages welcome! \nPlease dress for the outdoors\, including suitable footwear for soft paths. \nThe accessibility on Galley & Warden Hills can be limited for some due to the terrain and steep slopes. \nPlease get in touch if you have any mobility concerns or questions about the walk. \nWe will meet at the car park at the top of Warden Hill Road and Links Ways for 2pm and return back to the car park for 3.30pm. \nIf using What Three Words website or App then please use the following location ///grew.sides.tricks \nFor enquires please contact Ieva on 07871 987381 or ieva.piraga@wildlifebcn.org
