DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to join us at a series of FREE Sound Sessions at Marsh House designed for young people aged 16-25 local to Marsh Farm and Luton. \nJoin artist Simon James to learn how to use and experiment with specialist sound equipment. Make an original soundscape for Neolithic Cannibals. \nThe sessions will be slightly different from usual sound production workshops. It will be less about making beats and more about using natural sounds to create a soundscape of natural rhythms. \nThe sessions will run once a week from 16:30-19:00 at Marsh House from 20 July until 28 August. Currently he has been touring the country with the “Wonder of Stevie” which drew an appreciative 500-strong crowd on the bandstand in 2024. DESCRIPTION:WORLD SNOOKER CHAMPION\, STEVE DAVIS\, BRINGS HIS MUSIC PROJECT TO LUTON THIS WEEKEND \n  \nWorld snooker champion\, Steve Davis\, brings his electronic music project\, The Utopia Strong\, to The Castle\, in Luton\, this Sunday (17th May). \n  \nHaving formed in Glastonbury in 2018\, the experimental/psychedelic band also includes Gong’s flamboyant guitarist\, Kavus Torabi\, as well as the internationally recognised bagpipe builder\, Mike York. Forming the trio with Steve Davis\, The Utopia Strong stop off in Luton as part of their 16-date UK tour to celebrate their latest album\, Doperider. \n  \nKnown for their largely improvised live performances\, each show from The Utopia Strong builds into a final release\, combining synths\, pipes\, harmoniums\, and more across the intensely therapeutic set. Flowing at its own pace throughout the show\, the three-piece are masters at showing just why their musical project should be taken as seriously as any other\, because the musicianship shown on stage is yet to be found anywhere else. \n  \nOn the appearance at The Castle\, in-house programmer\, Connor Willis\, said “We’re so excited to be bringing something completely different to Luton this weekend\, and it’s even more exciting that it involves a legendary sports personality.
