Luton Henge Festival

The Luton Henge rose at last – built by Luton, for Luton – and its launch was celebrated in spectacular style with the Luton Henge Festival on Saturday 26 July 2025.

The one-day festival marked the official unveiling of the town’s bold new monument—a striking fusion of ancient inspiration and modern community spirit. Set in the heart of Marsh Farm, just outside Marsh House and near the historic grounds of Waulud’s Bank, the festival drew a wonderfully diverse crowd of Lutonians of all ages and backgrounds. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and joyous, with people coming together to mark this historic moment.

The festival itself was a vibrant showcase of talent, energy and community spirit. Families flocked to hands-on workshops like the Plumage Craft Workshop, Family Drumming, and Clay Workshop with Lugus Ceramics, while high-energy performances like the Bird Rave and Capoeira lit up the afternoon with dance, movement and fun for all ages.

In 2026, the Luton Henge Festival is back this summer and aims to be even bigger and better.

Built with local hands and hearts, the Luton Henge inspires pride, creativity and connection across the town, and this year promises to be another historic celebration of community spirit.

The Luton Henge was created by artist Matthew Rosier, commissioned by the Chilterns National Landscape and produced by Revoluton Arts as part of the Nature Calling programme.
