SUMMARY:Wild Pages - Nature Journaling & Photography (Luton)
DESCRIPTION:This wildlife‑focused creative activity is part of Youth Week 2026\, delivered by Wildlife Trust BCN (15–23 August).\nYouth Week aims to inspire young people to connect with nature through fun\, creative\, and meaningful outdoor experiences. \nFor the full programme of Youth Week events\, click here. \nThis is a creative\, nature‑inspired afternoon for young people aged 16–25\, designed to help you slow down\, look more closely at nature\, and explore wildlife through drawing and photography. You’ll also discover a hidden\, wilder side of Luton and spend time with like‑minded people. \nYou don’t need to be a nature expert or an artist to take part. The focus is on connection\, curiosity\, and creativity\, using mindful outdoor activities to enjoy spending time in nature and discover the various habitats found in this park. \nThe session includes two relaxed\, guided activities\, led by Wildlife Trust staff and friends: \nNature journaling (part 1)\nWe’ll start by exploring what nature journaling is and how it can be practised in simple\, enjoyable ways. You’ll then head out into the gardens and nearby Stockingstone Meadow to observe wildlife and create your own sketches and notes inspired by what you find or what you are drawn to. \nYou don’t need any drawing experience — curiosity and an interest in nature are all you need.\nAll materials for nature journaling and drawing will be provided. \nNature photography (part 2)\nWe’ll then be joined by our friend June\, who has a passion for photography and wildlife. June will share photography tips and creative ideas before we head back out to explore the park’s different habitats and try capturing nature and wildlife through our cameras. \nYou’ll need a smartphone to fully take part in the photography activity. \nMeeting point & location \nBy the entrance to SIG Penrose Roots To Recovery \, Off New Bedford Road (A6)\, LU3 1LL\, What3Words: trials.models.spin\nThe session will take place mostly outdoors.
