We’re excited to welcome the multi-award-winning US soul singer Gina Sedman (formerly Gina Carey) back to The Bear. She’ll be performing original music, along with her take on some of the classics.
Gina is a prolific, internationally known recording artist with an extensive career spanning over 30 years. She has written, produced, and recorded 15 albums, many single releases, and five #1 hits on the UK soul music chart. Ten of her albums were released under her own record and publishing company, Gico Music. Gina won Best Soul/R&B Single at the Bright Star Awards 2020 with her hit “My Destiny.”
Among many memorable live performances, she has opened a show for Rose Royce in LA and featured on Dave Lee’s hit album Produced With Love II. She and her band have played at the St. Neots Festival, and guested with jazz fusion supergroup Cong-Fusion at London’s Temple of Art and Music, and Pizza Express Live.
She joins us with her new UK band: Gina Sedman (vocals), Joe English (keys), Peter Vajda (bass), Theo Hayhurst (drums), and Andrew ‘Prone’ Sedman (percussion).
To get the party started (and then to keep it going!), there will be a DJ set by Paul Hyatt before and after the main act.
