What will the lecture be about?
Join us for an engaging inaugural lecture – titled ‘Transformative Health Psychology and Behaviour Change: Empowering Tomorrow’ – that delves into the critical role of health psychology in addressing today’s biggest global health challenges. From obesity and diabetes to mental health and premature mortality, these pressing issues are deeply connected to human behaviours and the factors that influence them. By shifting our focus from treatment to prevention, this lecture will highlight how understanding behaviours and designing effective strategies can create meaningful, lasting change in public health outcomes.
The lecture will showcase innovative approaches to behaviour change, supported by real-world research and evidence-based practices. Attendees will gain insight into how these methodologies have been successfully applied in healthcare settings, empowering individuals, building community capacity, and scaling impactful solutions.
This is sure to be a fascinating lecture which will be followed by the opportunity to network with Professor Chater and University colleagues over refreshments.
