This St George’s Day prepare for a day of action and adventure, with the History Knights in Wardown Park.

  • Test your skills at the crossbows
  • Mount your steed in our hobby horse races
  • Test your nerves in our family joust and inflatable sword tournament
  • Try on your knight and princess outfits
  • Head off on a dragon quest whilst our medieval musicians and storytellers enchant and entertain
  • Take part in medieval world activities, delivered by the History Knights team.

With play tables, craft activities and archaeology trays, whatever your age there’s free fun for everyone!

  • Hand-held wooden cross bows (suitable for small children as well as adults)
  • Soft archery
  • Family joust/melee inflatable sword battle
  • Play table with action figures and toy castles
  • Craft table
  • Archaeology trays
  • Search for the king’s treasure
  • ‘Off With Their Heads’ coconut shy
  • Dragon quest
  • Dress up in a range of costumes for both children and adults
  • Story-telling of a mixture of English and African folk tales as well as stories of St George and Luton’s medieval past
  • Medieval musicians
  • Medieval herbs and plants with Bedfordshire Wildlife Trust hosting a touch and smell table/exhibition – learn about our natural environment and how herbs and plants were used as medicines, foods and dyes
