This year’s Reading Challenge, run by public libraries, invites children to dive into the world of books with the theme: Story Garden: Adventures in Nature and the Great Outdoors.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for young readers to discover nature-themed stories and enjoy fun activities that connect reading with the natural world.
Visit your local library to explore a wonderful selection of books that educate and inspire!

Get ready for a wild adventure this summer with The Wildlife Trust! As part of the Summer Reading Challenge, we’re bringing the Story Garden theme to life with exciting nature-inspired tales featuring bees, bugs, and butterflies. After the story, children can get creative with a fun craft activity to take home. It’s the perfect mix of storytelling, hands-on fun, and a chance to discover the wonders of nature – all in a fun, family-friendly setting!
