Rev James O’Neill served as vicar of Luton 1862-95. Marks of his work are everywhere in the church yet he left a legacy of scandal as well.

 

Join us for this free talk and tour offered as a part of St Mary’s activity during Heritage Open Days 2025. You’ll learn more of this energetic and controversial character, but also have opportunity to see his legacy all around you in the church. Peter Adams our church historian will be joined by Rev Mike Jones the current vicar who will reflect on aspects of O’Neills work and legacy.
