THE LOUNGE SOCIETY + SUPPORTS (IVW25)
TUESDAY 28TH JANUARY 2025
Playing their own distinct breed of art-punk – taking in fleet-footed guitar and drum motifs, bite-and-bark vocals and popping electronics – The Lounge Society make their debut appearance in Luton for Independent Venue Week 2025. Speedy Wunderground’s The Lounge Society have made quite the reputation for themselves in their short time together. With previous tours stopping off at the likes of London’s Village Underground and Gorilla in Manchester, this is sure to be an intimate performance from the Hebden Bridge quartet. Don’t miss this performance likely to include many tracks from their debut album, recorded with Dan Carey (Fontaines D.C., Kae Tempest, Squid, Grimes).
Support comes from Hemel Hempstead’s latest exports, a post-punk quartet named OWES causing stirs across the 3 counties with their darkened lyricism punctured by unrivalled rhythmic tones. They’ll also be joined by four-piece punk band, Ramona Marx, who are no strangers to causing a scene on stage. Ballsy, attitude-driven socially aware songs take them to the forefront of the ever rising music scene across the 3 counties in 2025.
