Hidden on Upper George Street lies a gem that locals have been raving about — Benjamins Café, a luxury patisserie and café that’s rapidly becoming a Luton brunch hotspot.
As we popped in for a visit, the stylish interior immediately caught our eye. No need to trek to London when we’ve got this gem right on our doorstep! Independently owned and locally run, Benjamins is exactly the kind of business that makes Luton’s food scene so exciting.
We couldn’t resist diving into their signature breakfast, The Big Ben. For £13.95, you get a proper feast — sausages, turkey rashers, hash browns, fried egg, mushrooms, beans, and fresh fruit with honey, all served with a croffle and French toast. Trust us, you won’t leave hungry!

Fancy something different? The Breakfast Croffle is a game-changer — fried chicken sandwiched between two croffles with maple syrup.
What we love most is how Benjamins caters to everyone. The B-Egan One is a plant-based breakfast, and the entire menu is halal — perfect for Luton’s wonderfully diverse community.
Got the family in tow? The Big B Platter serves 4-6 people and is ideal for those weekend get-togethers.

And with breakfast served until 1pm and a shiny 5-star hygiene rating, Benjamins is ticking all the boxes. And don’t worry if you miss the breakfast window — there’s plenty more served up until late into the night. Think waffles, crepes and toasties and much more. And if you’ve room for more, don’t forget to grab something from their tasty patisserie.
Next time you’re shopping in town or meeting friends, skip the chains and give this local star a try.
