Get ready for colour, culture and seriously good vibes… because Luton International Carnival is returning to its original home in Wardown Park this May, celebrating a spectacular 50 years of carnival magic thanks to headline sponsorship from Luton Rising.

On Sunday 24 May, the UK’s biggest one‑day carnival will once again take over the stunning grounds of Wardown Park, right where it all began back in 1976. For years, residents have been asking for the carnival to come home, and honestly? We couldn’t be more excited to say it’s finally happening.

This beloved event first launched as a Victorian Fayre during Luton’s 100th anniversary as a borough, and now, as we mark a huge milestone, Luton’s 150th anniversary, they’re going bigger, brighter and bolder than ever before.

Luton International Carnival is just one of many incredible events being supercharged this year as part of Luton 150, a town‑wide celebration bringing communities together to honour the past, enjoy the present and dream big about the future.
