The Easter holidays are here and Luton is bursting with activities to keep the kids busy. From puppet storytelling shows to outdoor trails, we’ve rounded up the most egg-cellent things to do – besides eating chocolate.

Be sure to hop down to our favourite pocket park for some Easter fun – listen to live storytelling and children can get stuck-in with an Easter headband making workshop (whilst stocks last).

Three Little Vikings Show & Shield Making Workshop

Thursday 10 April | 11.30am and 2pm | Hat Factory Arts Centre

Take your little ones along to the Hat Factory for a live show about three brave little Viking girls on a funny adventure.

Want to stick around longer? Join the shield-making workshops before each show at a discounted price if you’re attending both.

There’s never a more fitting time for a family-friendly theatre show about planting, growing and blossoming. Introduce the children to interactive storytelling & puppetry with 20 minutes of playtime after the show.

Good Friday – Easter Monday | Various times | Stockwood Discovery Centre

Get ready for a little Easter adventure through Stockwood Discovery Centre’s outdoor trail. Be sure to book ahead for this one for access to the Easter egg hunt and craft sessions in Mossman Gallery, but only the kids will need a ticket.

Creative Crowns Workshop

Tuesday 8 & 15 April | 11.30am – 3.30pm | Wardown House

The kids can create their very own Easter crown in this free drop-in workshop at Wardown House. Why not show off your crown whilst exploring the hats on show in the museum? Make sure to take a spring stroll through our stunning Wardown Park too.

Easter Family Activities at Bushmead

Thursday 10 & 17 April | 10am and 1pm | Bushmead Community Hub

There’s plenty of craft activities for children to get involved in at Bushmead Community Hub. Get imaginative decorating wooden bunnies, make Easter planters & chocolate nests! Perfect for kids up to age 11.

Luton Little Bugs Club

Thursday 17 April | 10.30am | Wardown Park

Calling young wildlife explorers! Little bugs club is the place for pre-school children, encouraging children to explore and discover nature. Just be sure to book in advance!

Free Easter Fun at Luton Point

Saturday 5 – Tuesday 22 April | 11am-4pm | Central Square, Luton Point

Luton Point’s got something on every Saturday and Thursday during the holidays. From Easter mug decorating to pom-pom bunny crafts, just head to Central Square to get creative.

That’s not all – fancy winning a family ticket to Disneyland Paris? Of course! Head to Luton Point to pick up your passport and collect 10 stamps by spending in stores to be in with a chance.

Luton BID’s Digital Easter Trail

Friday 4 – Wednesday 22 April | 9am-5pm | Luton Town Centre

This Easter help the Doggie Detectives solve the mystery in Luton Town Centre with the Great Egg-scape trail!

It’s free and easy to take part – simply use your smartphone to scan a QR code from posters displayed in the windows of 10 town centre businesses, Hat Gardens pocket park will have one too!
