Hey Luton, get ready for an Eid celebration like no other. This year, 1Eid and Colours Of Eid are joining forces to bring you an unforgettable festival right in the heart of our town centre. It’s going to be a historic moment for Luton, and you won’t want to miss it!

1Eid, the ones who started Luton’s very first Eid festival way back in 2011, will be hosting the celebrations on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 April (pending the sighting of the moon).

The day of Eid will kick off with morning prayers at Stockwood Park at 10am, then the main Eid festival will begin at St George’s square from 1pm until 9.30pm on Eid day and the next day.

But wait, there’s more! Colours of Eid, brought to you by Alif New Beginnings, will keep the party going on Saturday 13 April with their annual celebrations in the town centre.

The best part? Both events are completely FREE and open to everyone. Bring your family, bring your friends, bring your neighbours – it doesn’t matter where you’re from, everyone is welcome to join in the fun.

Get ready for a funfair, delicious food from all over the world, tons of activities for the little ones, and even some storytelling sessions. There’s everything from circus workshops and roaming dinosaurs to puppet shows, fire juggling, and donkey rides.

And if that’s not enough, there’ll be science workshops with Mad Marc from Dragon’s Den, live music, calligraphy, arts workshops, Eid lights, and an incredible fireworks display.

“Luton has always been a melting pot of cultures, and our joint effort with 1Eid aims to celebrate this diversity while fostering a sense of community and togetherness. We invite everyone to come and be a part of history in the making.”

Sarah Salim, Director of Alif New Beginnings and Colours Of Eid
